The Ganja Girls VS Girls4Ganja (Revised)

If your like me and you love the way a girls face gets a little flushed when shes high and you think theirs nothing sexier then a hottie with bloodshot eyes, then chances are you have searched all over the web looking for quality pictures of sexy & beautiful stoner chicks.
Before we first started the Ganja Girls about a year and a half ago, the only place you could find pictures of girls smoking pot (notice: I didn’t say Hot Girls) on the web was from ether Girls4Ganja.com , GirlsGoneWeed.com , or 420Girls.com and there was maybe a handful of other low quality Ganja Babe pictures floating around the web on various different websites but nothing worth mentioning.

The problem with those three websites can best be described in list form:

420Girls.com – This website has a large amount of content but its all porn, not the good kind of porn but the nasty ugly cheap kind of porn and most of the girls arent even really smoking weed. its like the hired the cheapest porn stars to hold bongs in front of a $100 point and shoot camera. LAME!

GirlsGoneWeed.com – This is actually a pretty decent site. I love the layout and the quality of pictures make me strive to do better with my pictures. The problem is most of their girls are ugly or at least not sexy and you will have a hard time trying to find a full body shot of any girl on their site, also they don’t update their content very often.

Girls4Ganja.com – I saved this one for last because this is the worst of the three sites BY FAR and their photographer (Scott Gacek) is a total whiny bitch but ill go into that later in this article. This site is complete garbage, they have a decent amount of girls but nearly all of them are ether really ugly or their photographer just knows how to make them look really ugly. I swear a girl runs this site because its void of almost ALL sex appeal.

Since those three websites and a few others were all the web had to offer us for pictures or videos of hot girls smoking weed, Me and the guys at HTGB decided to start are own version of Hot babes smoking pot, We called it The Ganja Girls. Our plan was to flood the internet with thousands of super high quality MAXIM style pictures of stoner babes. We didn’t want to hire models to hold bongs, we wanted everyday real potheads that would be willing to smoke real marijuana in front of a camera then we would air brush the pictures just like playboy or MAXIM does.
6 months after we started The Ganja Girls, HowToGrowBud.com became the third most trafficked marijuana website in the world, because of that we have created some enemy’s with people that think we stole their idea or traffic. The truth is we are experts at what we do and especially at SEO (search engine optimization) so once we got started, any competitor we had didn’t really have a chance “sorry”.

One person in particular has a really big issue with what we are doing “Scott Gacek” , he is the photographer for Girls4Ganja.com . Scott Gacek has left over 35 nasty comments on HTGB saying things like “your a cheap knock off” or “You stole my idea” or “your girls look like dirty strippers”. Scott Gacek must really think he invented the concept of hot girls smoking weed but as far as I know hot girls have been around for thousands of years and so has weed.

I can totally understand why this guy is angry, as last year his highest producing keyword according to google was “Ganja Girls” and now its not for obvious reason lol. Those comments really show a lot about his character, instead of doing better SEO or trying new marketing techniques or even trying to take better pictures, he thought it was wise to leave 35 shit talking and threatening comments on his competitors website.  Maybe Scott Gacek doesn’t know that HTGB also own 60 other marijuana websites, publish our own magazine (Cloud), run 35 twitter accounts, 9 facebook accounts , 20 facebook pages, 4 stumbleupon accounts and probably have the largest voice in the online marijuana community today.

Scott messaged me first thing in the morning after i posted this article, then i gave him my number and he called me. In all honesty i must say he was an extremely sincere and genuine person. He assured me that he never wrote any of those comments and after i talked to him for just 5 min i knew he was telling the truth.

here is how our facebook conversation went:

And for the record, I never viewed you as “competition” or any such thing. Both our sites serve very different purposes. So I’m asking you, please stop this assault on me. I haven’t taken any G4G photos in almost a year, my employers (the Boston Red Sox) asked me to stop publicly associating my name with anything related to the marijuana reform movement.

The Magazine is called CLOUD. The concept of the magazine is simple; Its a free magazine with professional pictures of beautiful girls smoking high grade, legal marijuana. Google Supports Censorship On Vevo So It Can Sell More Ads

Let me start off by telling you that i hate youtube and vivo. If you haven’t noticed all 100 ganja girl videos were taken down by youtube this week and youtube still hasn’t given me a reason why. here is the ganja girls new youtube channel

Vevo Censors Music Videos for Brands

From AdAge.com – Vevo wants to be your MTV on the web, but that means censoring music videos for bad language.

The nascent music service, a joint venture between Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment, is applying TV standards to the videos on its system, ending a relatively long uncensored run for music videos on the web.

Vevo is cleaning up the videos — in some cases comically — in a bid to make them safe for the advertising it is selling to brands such as McDonalds, whose ads are running in heavy rotation across the network. In addition to turning off brands, bad language becomes a bit harder to ignore with Vevo’s “watch with lyrics” button.

Before Vevo, many music videos were copies uploaded by consumers, including explicit versions, to sites such as YouTube, which have pretty loose decency standards. YouTube, for example, may require a user to attest that they’re 17, but will only block video for instances of hate speech or pornography.

But Vevo is taking those further, blotting out a lot of language any stronger than, well, “damn.”

“Our censorship goal for launch was to keep everything clean for broadcast, ‘the MTV version,’” said Vevo spokeswoman Jennifer Press.

Ratings system?
There is no specific policy, or list of forbidden words; rather, she said, Vevo “is playing it by ear in terms of what makes it through and what doesn’t.” On some videos, Vevo is offering both an explicit and a censored version; others, no explicit version at all.

Right now Vevo represents EMI, as well as UMG and Sony, or about 70% of music sales in the U.S. Because it includes all traffic to these videos on YouTube, it quickly became the most-visited music service on the web after launch in December.

Under discussion at Vevo is a ratings system that would allow users to decide how profane they’d like their music videos, and presumably exclude advertisers from versions they might find objectionable.

Currently, there is no ratings system analogous to TV and film for music videos. Videos are either labeled “explicit” or “non-explicit.”

Sadly, Vevo’s censorship includes comedy, which is really doing a number on Lonely Island videos, including “I’m On A Boat,” and “Jizz In My Pants.”

The first thing you might notice is that i didn’t ad the infamous “Reefer Madness” video here, that’s because everyone has seen that over and over again plus it was made before my parents were born.
